Ten graduating students who have made outstanding contributions to their campus and surrounding community were presented with "Penn College Awards" during a banquet in their honor at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on Thursday evening.

Mallery, director of residence life, has been recognized by the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce and Our Towns 2010 for "going the extra mile" in providing exceptional customer service. The National Science Foundation has awarded Pennsylvania College of Technology and four other institutions a two-year grant of $499,950 to establish a National Center for Aircraft Technician Training in support of the aviation industry.

About 85 area high school students attended Wednesday's "Job for a Day," hosted by the plastics and polymer technology department. Students visited plastics laboratories, toured campus and made products on the college's mobile plastics lab. For the third time, Monica J. Lanczak, instructor of food and hospitality management/culinary arts at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."
