Charles W. Zeigler, a second-year individual studies student at Pennsylvania College of Technology and a resident of McSherrystown, won the ACUI Intercollegiate National Championships in Olympic skeet at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas, on Friday. More than 250 shooters representing more than 24 colleges and universities participated in the five-day competition.
The School of Business and Computer Technologies held its annual Showcase and Advisory Committee Meeting in the PDC on Monday, tackling the "brain drain" in Central Pennsylvania. The second "Catch Me if You Can" Allyson Wilgar-Jones Memorial 5K Walk/Run attracted 115 participants Saturday, despite chilly weather. The walk/run is organized by Penn College nursing faculty in memory of Wilgar-Jones, a colleague who died in 2004 after a brief battle with cancer.
Penn College went 5-1 in the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Volleyball Club League championships Saturday, losing only to season-long nemesis Messiah in three games in the championship match. During pool play, the Wildcats beat host Haverford, 25-16, 25-19; Kutztown, 27-25, 25-15; and Penn State Abington, 25-16, 25-17.

Penn College Police issued the following Crime Alert on Sunday, April 9:Early this morning, at approximately 2:15 a.m., four Penn College students were passengers in a friend's vehicle traveling on West Fourth Street at Campbell Street in the City of Williamsport.
