Robert G. Steward, a culinary arts technology student from Williamsport, teamed up with children attending day camp at Bruce E. Henry Park in Loyalsock Township on Thursday to make Rice Krispies "lizards." Steward and Frederick W. Becker, dean of hospitality, offered students their expertise about cooking and about hospitality careers.
Degree programs in human services at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently earned accreditation from the Council for Standards in Human Service Education. The college's bachelor-degree major in applied human services and its associate-degree major in human services have been accredited by the council for the next five years.
An associate professor of architecture at Penn College will offer a presentation, "How Architecture Reflects Cultural Values," at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16,in the Thomas T. Taber Museum (858 W. Forty-eight students are taking part in the Summer PLUS 2006 program offered by Academic Support Services through July 21. In addition to the academic component of the program, the students are involved in college-preparation activities such as Project Success and Learning Communities.
