Members of the business community toured the Madigan Library on Thursday evening as part of a PM Exchange. PM Exchanges offered by the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce are networking events providing chamber members, business leaders and dignitaries the opportunity to socialize and discuss issues.

A major construction and construction materials firm has established a scholarship fund at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Haines and Kibblehouse Family of Companies, also known as The H&K Group, will provide an annual award of $1,000 beginning in the current academic year. The company plans to endow the scholarship, making it a permanent source of awards for students.

Penn College's Horticulture Club has donated $425 to the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" effort. The student organization based at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center and advised by horticulture faculty member Carl J. Bower sold individual flowers and contributed $5 from each floral arrangement sold during a recent breast-cancer awareness observance.

Bridget M. McCall , a nursing major from Media, has been chosen by Pennsylvania College of Technology's Student Government Association as "Student of the Month" for October.

Members of SkillsUSA's Penn College chapter showed their community spirit on Oct. 14, participating in community service for SouthernCare. Activities included washing windows and yardwork for a local family. SkillsUSA is a national organization that provides a landscape of competitions in various occupational fields. Once a year, members compete at the state level and, if successful, nationally.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology?s Madigan Library, will host "ReMix: Wax and the Intuitive Process," from Nov. 7 to Dec. 10. The recycling program accepts empty fax cartridges and inkjet and laser-printer cartridges made by HP, Lexmark, Canon, Dell, Epson and Brother.
