Bridget M. McCall , a nursing major from Media, has been chosen by Pennsylvania College of Technology's Student Government Association as "Student of the Month" for October.
Dually nominated by a college staff member and a fellow student, McCall serves as president of the Residence Hall Association, is a member of SGA and the National Residence Hall Honorary (the top 10 percent of student-housing residents across the country), is a participant in the Emerging CLASS student-leadership program and is a former member of the Wildcat Events Board.
In addition, she works as a Student Activities assistant in the Bush Campus Center.
"Bridget successfully maintains a good grade-point average in one of Penn College's most rigorous majors," one of her nominators wrote. "Besides getting up at 4 a.m. for clinicals, she devotes her precious time to running RHA and being an excellent mentor and friend to those around her."
Her co-nominator concurred: "As a student employee, Bridget is always dependable and conscientious. She totally enjoys her nursing major and entertains us with stories."
SGA regularly selects a "Student of the Month" based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement. Watch PCToday for the next round of nominations.
