The Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America presented its 2023 Distinguished Citizen Award to Michael J. Reed, president of Pennsylvania College of Technology, and his wife, Christina Steinbacher-Reed, executive director of BLaST Intermediate Unit 17. The Distinguished Citizen honor annually recognizes local leaders who have made a substantial impact in the community. More than 350 students have petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2023 semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The college will hold a commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Community Arts Center. The ceremony, which will be livestreamed, is open only to students who are registered to participate and ticketed guests. More than 240 students are expected to march in the proceedings.
