The Community Theatre League, in conjunction with the Community Arts Center, will present "The Bridges of Madison County" this weekend at the CAC. Based on the popular 1992 novel by Robert James Waller (which was adapted into a film co-starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep three years later), the locally cast musical will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m.

An Emergency Medical Technician pre-apprenticeship course, beginning the week of May 4 and running through Aug. 12, will be offered on main campus by Workforce Development at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Penn College Benefiting THON joined the overall 2021 fundraising efforts to support Four Diamonds' battle against pediatric cancer during the past eight months, working to achieve success and growth even during a pandemic. As the first virtual THON Weekend ended at 4 p.m. Sunday, Penn College Benefiting THON had raised a total of $10,436.99. The overall total for THON 2021 was $10,638,078.62.
