Penn College's Madigan Library is featured on a billboard commemorating the 40th anniversary of Lobar Inc., the general contractor for the newest building at the college's main entrance.

The Gallery at Penn College, located on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Works From Wood," an exhibit by master wood engraver Raymond Gloeckler, from Jan. 23 to Feb. 18. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, featuring a lecture on wood engraving at 4 p.m. by David M.

Drop/Add and Late Registration were held Wednesday in the Student and Administrative Services Center, as representatives of Penn College's eight academic schools led students through the last-minute processing of schedule changes before Monday's start of Spring 2007 classes.

Representatives of the Admissions and Alumni Relations offices, as well as faculty and students from Penn College's academic schools, are making their mark at the Pennsylvania Farm Show this week. "It is a great public-awareness event for Penn College to participate in," said Christopher S. Rolley, admissions representative.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will be able to offer additional financial assistance for a deserving student, thanks to a recent gift from the Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Joann Kay, executive director of the Penn College Foundation, recently received a check from Wal-Mart for $500. "The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a financially needy student to assist with educational costs," said Kay.

A session to help families understand how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, sponsored by the Financial Aid Office at Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, on the college's main campus in Williamsport. The instructional session will begin at 10 a.m.
