Inspired by the wonderful words of Martin Luther King Jr., the Children's Learning Center staff asked parents to contribute to another one of their now-traditional paper "quilts," this one illustrating the phrase with their dreams for their particular children. The quilt is on display in the lobby area of the Center. "Once again, they did a wonderful job," said Karen Woland Payne, director.
David S. Richards, associate professor of physics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was elected president of the Central Pennsylvania Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers. Richards took the post after a term as the association's vice president.

The American Red Cross was "extremely pleased" with the turnout for Wednesday's Bloodmobile at the Bush Campus Center, where a total of 175 individuals registered to give blood and 166 pints were collected falling short of the 170-pint goal, but still a huge success. There were 49 first-time donors, and every pint collected goes to saving another life.
