A scholarship fund has been established for automotive students at Pennsylvania College of Technology by the Murray Motor Group. The idea for the scholarship fund was initiated by Brian Peace, managing partner of the Murray Motor Group and a 1984 graduate of Penn College’s predecessor, Williamsport Area Community College.

Fifteen Pennsylvania College of Technology students passed the Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator Certification exam offered in late November. “This certification is something that employers look for, so these students are at an advantage when it comes to finding a job," said Carl J. Bower, a horticulture instructor in the college's School of Transportation & Natural Resources Technologies.

Penn College forest technology majors are among a select group of students nationwide employing a new data-collection application from Forest Metrix. The software, used in conjunction with an iPad, is featured in a video on the college's YouTube Channel. "It records all the data you need it to. The Pennsylvania College of Technology Woodsmen’s Team competed in the 20th annual John G. Palmer Intercollegiate Woodsmen’s Meet held recently at The Cradle of Forestry in North Carolina.
