A Pennsylvania College of Technology student was among six nationwide to be selected for a 2012-13 scholarship from the Tag and Label Manufacturing Institute. Angela M. Sampsell, of Williamsport, a senior in the graphic communication management major at Penn College, was among four recipients from four-year degree programs. Each received a $5,000 scholarship.

Robert Cooley, assistant professor of anthropology/environmental science, presented on March 24 at the Penn State Symposium for Teaching and Learning With Technology and on March 29 at the annual meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology in Baltimore.

Paul R. Watson II has been named assistant dean of programs in the School of Integrated Studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Prior to his appointment as assistant dean of integrated studies-programs, Watson served as director of mathematics and general education in the School of Integrated Studies at the college.

William Ma, professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, jointly authored a paper that was published recently in The Pacific Journal of Mathematics.
