A dozen residential Pre-College Programs and a daytime Creative Art Camp brought hundreds of young women and men to Penn College's campuses in mid-June, providing hands-on entry to the myriad career opportunities reflected in the institution's postsecondary curriculum.

College employees rallied to provide nearly 40 educational sessions for middle schoolers from across the region who visited campus on Monday for the college’s twice-a-year Career Day. Facilitated by the college’s College Transitions Office, the event provided 1,267 students with opportunities to explore a wide variety of careers in each of the college’s six academic schools.

A 2018 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design major is putting his creative talents to work in the National Hockey League. Austin L. Fulton, originally from Montoursville, is a graphic designer for the Florida Panthers. Fulton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in graphic design from Penn College in August 2018 and began his job with the hockey team one month later.

The 11 soon-to-graduate graphic design majors share the spotlight with their exemplary artwork. Each of Erin N. Shaffer's chocolate-bar labels evokes the skyline of its respective U.S. city. Luke A. Eleven graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will exhibit their work as part of “Graphic Design: 2019,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College. A public reception for the exhibit’s opening will be held Friday, May 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., with a gallery talk at 4:30 p.m. The design work will be on display April 30 through May 10.
