Pennsylvania College of Technology’s commitment to hands-on education aided area nonprofit organizations throughout the spring semester. Two sections of electrical construction students contributed nearly 400 hours of work, saving the YWCA, Sojourner Truth Ministries and the Avis Area Recreation Association labor expenses in completing a variety of projects.

Ten faculty members have successfully completed the Penn College Institute for Faculty Leadership, receiving certificates during a brief ceremony Friday afternoon in the Thompson Professional Development Center. The series, intended to assist those who may be interested in future leadership roles, involved 14 once-a-week sessions from January through April.

The career exploration gathering is the largest career-related event offered each year to Schreyer Honors Scholars, giving them the opportunity to network and learn from Schreyer alumni.
