Penn College hosted a reception Tuesday for students, alumni, faculty and staff who have served in the military, an event highlighted by dedication of a college banner displayed at Forward Operating Base Mehtar Lam in Afghanistan at the request of student Robert A. Miller during his service there.

Coppersmith, dean of integrated studies, wrote an article for the Oklahoma Historical Society detailing the history of what today is known as the Fort Sill Apache tribe.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member recently participated in a humanitarian trip to Juarez, Mexico, where she offered occupational therapy to people with disabilities and training to their caregivers. Jeremiah C. Gee, assessment coordinator for Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Integrated Studies, recently offered a presentation at the Network for Academic Renewal Conference hosted by the Association of American Colleges and Universities in Baltimore. The conference focused on general education and was attended by leaders in higher education from across the nation.
