A faculty member in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Business and Computer Technologies recently helped a regional computer club traverse the often-overwhelming terrain of technological innovation. Daniel W. Yoas, an assistant professor of computer information technology, met with members of Susquehanna SeniorNet during one of their meetings at James V. Brown Library.

Two Pennsylvania College of Technology administrators were chosen to present at the American College Health Association's 2010 Annual Meeting, held June 1-5 in Philadelphia. Carl L. Shaner, student health center director, and Elliott Strickland, special assistant for student affairs and student development, were selected to present on the college's Impaired Student Recovery Area.

A member of the dental hygiene faculty at Pennsylvania College of Technology was invited to provide input on a newly published textbook. Tammy S. Clossen, assistant professor of dental hygiene, is published as a reviewer for "Quick & Easy Medical Terminology," 6th Edition, by Peggy C. Leonard. The textbook is published by Saunders/Elsevier, 2011.

The coordinator of the Williamsport/Lycoming Keystone Innovation Zone delivered a presentation at the recent NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership National Conference in Orlando, Fla. Katie C. Bell's May 4 workshop, "Greenovation: A Unique Approach Encouraging Green Product Development," offered the opportunity for IMC Inc.

Dawn M. Moore, disability services specialist at Penn College, was among the graduates at George Washington University when Michelle Obama delivered the commencement address Sunday. Last fall, the first lady promised students she would speak if they completed 100,000 hours of community service. That goal was exceeded by nearly 70,000 hours, and Mrs. Obama honored her pledge.

More than 700 employees, dependents and guests attended Sunday's annual all-college picnic at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Muzic Master Teacher Award, the highest level of recognition for faculty – were presented by Pennsylvania College of Technology during commencement ceremonies held May 14-15 at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport.
