Ten Pennsylvania College of Technology students were recently awarded financial assistance through the Allan Myers Corporate Scholars program. Allan Myers, one of the mid-Atlantic’s largest heavy civil construction firms, is a decades-long supporter of the college and its “tomorrow maker” students.

Pennsylvania College of Technology landscape/plant production technology students are reaping the rewards they earned at the 49th annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition, held recently at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Penn College’s contingent of 18 students achieved an excellent showing in the three-day event, placing 18th out of 54 schools, thanks to top finishes by seven students.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology civil engineering technology student is one of nine undergraduates statewide to receive a scholarship from the Pennsylvania Land Surveyors’ Foundation. Ethan A. Hillenbrand, of Harrisburg, earned a $2,000 scholarship, awarded by the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors at its conference in Hershey.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students enrolled in any academic major at the college in the 2025-26 academic year are eligible for annual Grow PA Scholarship Grant Program assistance coordinated by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. Beginning with the 2025-26 academic year, Grow PA Grant scholarships of up to $5,000 each will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may apply for the scholarships beginning March 13 at the PHEAA website.

Students from Pennsylvania College of Technology’s School of Engineering Technologies lead the nation in scholarships bestowed by a foundation devoted to skilled manufacturing careers. Penn College students earned 11 of the 59 scholarships awarded for the Spring 2025 semester by SparkForce.

Four Pennsylvania College of Technology students have been awarded scholarships totaling $4,500 from the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association Foundation. The 2024-25 PLNA Foundation Scholarship recipients are: Morgan R. Max, a forest technology student from Pipersville, and three landscape/plant production technology students: Jahrell M. Harper, of Bloomsburg; Jake A. Seasock, of Lancaster; and Saudiah Wells, of Williamsport.

On the second day of "Give Thanks, Paw It Forward," the gratitude campaign highlighting Penn College students' appreciation for the support they've received during their academic journeys, Lauren D. Peck's inspiring story takes flight. A member of the Air National Guard, this aviation maintenance technology student from South Williamsport is eager to discuss the transformative impact of giving.

Pennsylvania College of Technology student Noah H. Jumper, of Shippensburg, was recently awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the Construction Management Association of America Foundation. Jumper is one of two recipients of the 2024 CMAA Foundation Scholarship. His selection was announced at the association’s annual conference, CMAA24, held Oct. 27-29 in San Francisco.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology freshman is one of five students nationwide to receive a BASF Techs for Tomorrow scholarship. Jocelyn N. Pandolfo, of Clark, New Jersey, earned a $2,500 scholarship awarded by BASF and the Techforce Foundation. Pandolfo is seeking an associate degree in collision repair technology.

An educational and service organization dedicated to promoting the engineering field to women has honored a Pennsylvania College of Technology freshman with a scholarship. Emmalee J. Preston, of Millerton, received the $2,500 Margaret R. Brewster Scholarship from the Society of Women Engineers. Preston is seeking a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering technology.
