On the second day of "Give Thanks, Paw It Forward," the gratitude campaign highlighting Penn College students' appreciation for the support they've received during their academic journeys, Lauren D. Peck's inspiring story takes flight.
A member of the Air National Guard, this aviation maintenance technology student from South Williamsport is eager to discuss the transformative impact of giving.
"I want to thank all of you for your generous donations to the college," she shared in her Makers profile. "Because of donations, I am getting real-life experience that I wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. Thank you for investing in me and my future and for helping me and so many other students achieve their dreams."
Earlier this year during a Donor Recognition Reception, Peck addressed the gathering, noting that scholarship support has enabled her to "fully focus on school, tennis, the military and my family." (She also soared on the tennis court as a member of the Wildcats tennis team.)
Peck is among students across Penn College's campuses who are expressing their gratefulness in various forms of outreach during College Relations' annual thankfulness initiative. Use #pctgrateful to share your gratitude and thank a supporter or mentor.
