A Pennsylvania College of Technology student was one of about 100 nationwide to receive a scholarship from the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association, an organization serving the automotive aftermarket industry. The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded a $2,750 scholarship to Brandan R. Marhefka, of Windber.

Patrick J. Reed, a flight technician with Equus Capital, earned an associate degree in aviation technology from the college in 2003 and holds two master technician certificates.

FedEx Freight donated a 2014 Kenworth T680 semi-trailer truck to Pennsylvania College of Technology to facilitate hands-on learning in diesel courses. Students will benefit from the donation for regeneration and emissions testing in courses such as Diesel Electronic Fuels: Systems, Operation & Diagnostics; and Vehicle Electronics/Diagnostic Procedures.
