Pennsylvania College of Technology's Dental Hygiene Program raised $4,000 for a recent graduate who is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Mindy J. Crawford, who earned an associate degree in dental hygiene in 2004, was diagnosed with having at least three anaplastic astrocytomas (tumors) in her brain, all inoperable because of their locations.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's dental hygiene clinic was host on May 9 to a volunteer initiative to place dental sealants on 55 students from Sullivan County Elementary School and the Muncy School District's Ward L. Myers Elementary School.

Amanda G. LeClair, a dental hygiene-health policy and administration major from Reading, has been selected by the Student Government Association as its "Student of the Month" for November. LeClair chairs the Wildcat Events Board, participates in SGA, is a student liaison with Penn College Food Services and works at the Student Activities desk.
