In its strongest national archery showing in a decade, Pennsylvania College of Technology won a collegiate team championship, had four All-Americans and placed fourth overall during the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships May 15-18 in Atlantic City , N.J.
Four Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball players and three softball players have been named all-Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Atlantic City, N.J., is known for its sand, surf and casinos. But none of them will be on the minds of 12 Pennsylvania College of Technology archers later this week when they compete there in the National Archery Association National Collegiate Championships.
As a former player and longtime instructor, Aimee Plastow has just about done it all in the tennis world. Now, she is ready to take on a new challenge as head coach of the coed team at Pennsylvania College of Technology. "I'm really excited. It's something I've always wanted to do, to coach at the collegiate level," Plastow said. "It's an interesting format with the coed team.
Six Pennsylvania College of Technology coaches have been named Coach of the Year n their respective sports for the 2007-08 academic year. All guided their teams to conference championships.

Last November, Jeffrey J.Faherty, a sophomore at Pennsylvania College of Technology, ran his first marathon ever in Harrisburg . Today, he's savoring the moment of running in and completing the Boston Marathon. Faherty covered the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours, 22 minutes April 21. "It was incredible," Faherty said of the experience.
