Millions around the world are suffering the symptoms of serious or terminal illnesses, yet only one in 10 has access to effective pain management tools.

The future recipients of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s “degrees that work” attracted a record number of employers to the school’s Fall Career Fair. Representing all economic sectors, 237 employers – including 19 Fortune 500 companies – recruited students at the event.

During his sabbatical last spring, Jeff L. Rankinen planned to investigate the possibilities of artificial intelligence. The Pennsylvania College of Technology associate professor returned to the classroom this fall after transforming one of those possibilities into a reality.

Nearly 240 employers offering more than 3,180 jobs or internships came face-to-face with the potential payroll of tomorrow at Tuesday's Fall Career Fair in Penn College's Bardo Gym and Field House. A recent weeklong initiative by Pennsylvania College of Technology students and employees turned retired cafeteria trays into platforms for the most successful campaign yet to benefit the on-campus food pantry. The Cupboard, opened in September 2016 adjacent to the CC Commons dining unit, has seen a 30-percent increase in usage by students this fall.

Penn College’s second annual Homecoming and Parent & Family Weekend had a little something for everyone – and a whole lotta something for those getting reacquainted with their favorite students and/or former classmates!

Alumni often attend Homecoming to reunite with classmates, revisit faculty who steered them toward vocational success and unwind among friends before the alarm clock resounds. Graduates of Penn College and its predecessors frequently return for another reason, as was seen this past week: to share life lessons from the working world.

Fall Open House at Pennsylvania College of Technology returns Sunday, Oct. 29, with a public invitation to experience a fascinating array of opportunities. “We are all really excited about our upcoming fall Open House,” said Claire Z. Biggs, coordinator of admissions events/services.

Homecoming/Parent & Family Weekend (Oct. 6-8) Student leaders prep for pride-filled weekend. The Veterans' Fountain outside the Breuder Advanced Technology & Health Sciences Center has taken on its traditional "Penn College Proud" tint, aided by General Services and student leaders, and heralding the arrival of Homecoming/Parent & Family Weekend (Friday through Sunday).
