The Penn College community raised more than $1,000 for The Cupboard during Dining Services’ first Race Against Hunger. Held in CC Commons, the fundraiser played off the fun of the upcoming Kentucky Derby.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently joined the National Alliance on Mental Illness in hosting a panel discussion for students and employees on suicide prevention and mental health.

The state Department of Education has awarded Pennsylvania College of Technology $39,470 for the project “It’s On Us – A Call to Wildcats,” a comprehensive initiative to offer training and awareness on the prevention of sexual misconduct. The college’s effort is part of the “It’s On Us PA” statewide campaign that invites everyone to play a role in ending sexual assault.

Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center was the site for the Pennsylvania Future Farmers of America Northern Region Competition, held Tuesday with about 175 high school students in attendance. The FFA chapter members hailed from 25 schools in the Northern Region's 22 counties.

For the second consecutive year, Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs is supporting a Pennsylvania College of Technology summer camp that introduces high school students to rewarding manufacturing careers. Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, the charitable foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, has provided a $4,000 grant for the college to host Tinker Camp, a program for students entering grades 9-12.
