When Laney E. Heller graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology on Dec. 18, the 20-year-old added baking and pastry arts graduate to a growing list of achievements that already includes 10-year cancer survivor and tireless fundraiser for children with cancer through the Delaney Heller Foundation.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has expanded enrollment to increase its capacity to educate licensed practical nurses seeking advancement to a registered nursing license, consequently meeting the increasing need for RNs in the workforce. The college will begin offering students acceptance into its LPN-to-RN major twice each year – in December and June.

BAE Systems Inc. has provided $10,000 in grant support for welding materials to be used in welding and metal fabrication programs at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The company is a longtime partner of the college’s welding program, recruiting students for operations in its York manufacturing plant.

Susquehanna Community Bank has made a third Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program donation to the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation to assist with a dual enrollment program at the college.

The Community Arts Center is the grateful recipient of $10,000 from PPL Electric Utilities through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit program, a donation that was used to support last month's production of "The Nutcracker." On Dec. 4-5, the CAC, Lycoming College and Saint John’s School of the Arts joined forces to present the holiday classic.
