Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed two women to positions within the Office of Institutional Advancement. Debra Mader Miller will become director of corporate relations (a newly created position) on Sept. 13. Currently, Miller serves as manager of program and scholarship services for the Williamsport-Lycoming Foundation.
For the 2004-05 school year, Pennsylvania College of Technology has added to the list of foods it will purchase from area farms by awarding its ground-beef contract to a cooperative of farmers who raise grass-fed cattle.

Stephen P. Legarski of Montoursville was commissioned as a second lieutenant inan Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps ceremony held Saturday, Aug. 7, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Pennsylvania College of Technology's Workforce Development& Continuing Education will offer a one-day "Vision Impairment in Older Adults" workshop Friday, Oct. 15, to provide information and training to health-care professionals and others who work with older clients. The workshop will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Hatha yoga classes addressing three levels of practice will begin the week of Aug. 23 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The three noncredit courses, which are being offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, are for beginning intermediate and regular practitioners.
