Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed two women to positions within the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Debra Mader Miller will become director of corporate relations (a newly created position) on Sept. 13. Currently, Miller serves as manager of program and scholarship services for the Williamsport-Lycoming Foundation.
Prior to joining the Williamsport-Lycoming Foundation in 2002, Miller was administrative assistant to the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Bucknell University from 1988 to 2002. She served as executive secretary to the president of Williamsport Area Community College a Penn College predecessor institution from 1984-88.
Joann Kay will become executive director of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation on Sept. 7. Kay replaces Dennis L. Correll, who became Penn College's director of financial aid earlier this month.
Currently, Kay serves as executive director of Lycoming County United Way. She has been with LCUW since 1991, serving as director of marketing and communications and director of funds distribution and community building before being promoted to executive director in 1999. She also served as branch manager of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central Pennsylvania Chapter, from 1987-91.
