At Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology, students this fall will help to run the restaurant's kitchen as they provide the public with a taste of foods from across America. A student at Pennsylvania College of Technology has earned three scholarships totaling $5,500 to further his welding education and is among 10 Penn College students receiving scholarships from the American Welding Society. Kenneth A. Ellis, Williamsport, is a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology.
It recently was brought to Food Services' attention that the processors of salad and sandwich produce products use latex gloves at their plants. Anyone with latex allergies should refrain from eatingsuch products in Penn College dining units. Food Services is working with those companies to correct the problem or is seeking to find alternate products that are latex-free.
