Pennsylvania College of Technology will host more than 1,100 students from 30 high schools during Career Day on Oct. 20. The high school students will be given opportunities to tour parts of the college and to engage in hands-on activities related to various careers. All eight of Penn College's academic schools will be represented, with 50 faculty members offering workshops or talks.
A Pennsylvania College of Technology culinary arts alumnus and in-demand creator of buffet showpieces will return to campus in October to share his expertise with students and alumni as part of the college's William C. Butler Lecture Series.
Penn College's on-campus television channel, PCTV (Channel 78), now features student-produced video programming. "Penn College News and Features," a weekly 30-minute summary of what's going on around campus is airing on the channel. Saturday, the Wildcat men's cross country team will defend its Penn State University Athletic Conference crown while the Wildcat women are looking for their first PSUAC title in meets at University Park.
National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Dana Gioia, invited by U.S. Rep. Don Sherwood, toured the Madigan Library on Tuesday afternoon. During his trip to Williamsport, he also attended the season-opening performance of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and toured the James V. Brown Library and Community Arts Center.

The second annual Quad College and University Business Plan Challenge is open to full- or part-time students at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Lycoming College, Mansfield University and Lock Haven University.
