The fourth profile to be shared this week, during the “Give Thanks, Paw It Forward” celebration, is one of Penn College’s Corporate Tomorrow Makers – Weather Engineers, Inc., a 60-year-old company providing residential and commercial HVAC solutions in northeast Florida.
Daniel E. Towers, a 1994 graduate of Penn College’s heating, ventilation & air conditioning technology major, is vice president of operations for the company. Towers enjoys recruiting Penn College students and alumni.
“I am a proud graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology and a former resident of Pennsylvania,” he shared. “After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2001, it has always been a dream of mine to give back to the institution that helped launch my career in the HVAC industry. Reconnecting with Penn College allows me to support the next generation of professionals in a field I’m passionate about.”
This alum’s gratitude has definitely come full circle: “Penn College provided me with a solid foundation that gave me the confidence to enter the trade and continuously grow within the HVAC industry. The education I received not only taught me the technical skills I needed but also introduced me to different aspects of the business. Nearly 30 years later, I’m still in the industry and loving every minute of it. The return on this investment has been a successful, fulfilling career that I am proud of.”
