Penn College Spring Golf Classic to Feature Joey Sindelar

Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Penn College Foundation Golf Classic Scholarship. Since its inception in 1987, the Golf Classic has secured funds for the Penn College Foundation's Scholarship Aid Program. The foundation has provided more than $323,000 in Golf Classic scholarships to eligible students since 1990.
Sindelar, a Horseheads, N.Y., resident, turned professional in 1981. His career PGA Tour winnings total $11,196,462. He has been on the Champions Tour since turning 50 in March 2008 and has tour winnings totaling $1,314,499.
Sindelar was one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour, with more than 80 top 10 finishes, including 10 in 1988. He was a member of the 1991 World Cup team.
At Ohio State University, Sindelar was a three-time All-American, a member of the 1979 NCAA Championship team and Ohio State's Athlete of the Year in 1981.
