In 2022-23, Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Foundation awarded donor-funded scholarships to 573 students, totaling $1,292,901.

Alumni chefs Kristina Wisneski, ’13, culinary arts & systems, and Alisha (Howell) Summa, ’12, baking & pastry arts, returned to their roots for the reemergence of the Visiting Chef Dinner.

The 37th Annual Penn College Foundation Golf Classic, featuring eight-time PGA Tour and nine-time PGA Tour Champions winner Fred Funk, raised $104,215 for student scholarships.

Science faculty establish brewing research lab
A lot of science goes into a can or glass of beer, and the newly established Penn College Brewing & Fermentation Research Lab at Bald Birds Brewing Co. in Jersey Shore is intent on investigating all of the components that impact taste, from production to distribution to storage.
Physician Assistant Center renovations accompany new stand-alone master’s
Throughout the Physician Assistant Center, updates provide equipment and spaces that mirror the scenarios students will encounter in the clinical rotations they complete during their final year of study. New spaces include a Family Medicine Lab, a Women’s Health Lab and an Emergency Medicine Lab.
Donated satellite units expand campus food pantry’s reach
Six self-service units, satellites of The Cupboard food pantry at Pennsylvania College of Technology, are helping to alleviate students' food insecurity. The stand-alone stations – at a variety of convenient locations – were funded by Frank G. Pellegrino, a friend of Penn College and a board member at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

Apprenticeships help already-employed workers to advance their skills
The state Senate Majority Policy Committee held a hearing in May at Penn College, exploring workforce challenges in rural counties. Penn College representatives testified about the career pathways the college creates - including industry-aligned degrees and seven apprenticeships for the incumbent workforce.
