Dr. Rudberg recently joined Penn College and is the Director of Counseling Services. She earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Duquesne University, Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from West Virginia University, Bachelor of Science in Psychology from West Liberty University, and her Associates of Arts in Human Services from West Virginia Community College. Dr. Rudberg is a licensed counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and holds advanced certifications in AOD and Rehabilitation Counseling. She has experience in counseling at the state, federal, and county levels, and is a contributing faculty member to the University of North Texas, Walden University, and Southern New Hampshire University.
Dr. Rudberg’s areas of interest include: working with Veteran’s, LGTBQ community, substance abuse, bullying, and counselor education. She has experience working with students that are exhibiting symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. Her theoretical approaches to counseling include: Rational Emotive Behavioral Theory, Reality Theory, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Her goal is to assist students in reaching their full potential through better mental health.
