Automotive Technology

Summer Camp

Automotive students will be exposed to the basics of automotive service and restoration. Students will learn how to replace a wheel/tire assembly, replace and balance a tire, remove and replace disc brake pads, change oil and filter, replace filters, remove and reinstall spark plugs, change various exterior light bulbs, use a dynamometer, and drive an electric car.

Includes all activities, meals, and on-campus housing. 

Registration for 2025 will open in February..

Field Trips/Special Events

Tentative

Students will tour a dealership service department and an automotive jobber parts store. An etiquette dinner is also included as part of the program.

Please Bring

Long pants, closed-toe shoes, and work clothing (clothes that can get dirty and greasy) are required.

Here's how it works:

  • Complete a Summer Camp during the summer before entering 9-12 grade. 
  • Or better yet, come for two Summer Camps. Pick a different program the second time around or come for the same one twice. Each year we mix things up.
  • Attend Penn College and receive $1,000 off your tuition each year if you came for one camp. 
  • Or, get $2,000 off your tuition each year if you join us for two camps.
