Penn College at Wellsboro’s Practical Nursing Program will host two open houses with information sessions: Thursday, Feb. 29, and Thursday, March 21. The 6:30 p.m. events will be held at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Wellsboro campus, 22 Walnut St. The sessions will also be connected to the Potter County Education Council through Zoom.
For the first time since 2010, Pennsylvania College of Technology will have its men’s and women’s basketball teams in playoff action during the same season when they take to the court on Saturday as the United East Conference Volt Divisions playoffs begin. Seeded fourth, coach Geoff Hensley’s men will host fifth-seed Penn State Berks at 1 p.m. at Bardo Gymnasium. Coach Britni Mohney’s women are seeded sixth and will travel to No. 3 seeded Penn State Abington for a 2 p.m. game.

Eight students in Pennsylvania College of Technology's concrete science technology and residential construction technology & management majors expanded their horizons recently with a visit to World of Concrete, an international event dedicated to the concrete and masonry construction industries. The convention, held annually in Las Vegas, attracted 60,000 attendees to its 700,000 square feet of exhibit space and was featured on CBS "Sunday Morning" on Feb. 11.
The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's lacrosse team opens its season at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Misericordia University in Dallas, and fourth-year coach Jordan Williams is ready for the challenge. "We’re in a really good spot. A lot of our core are juniors who have maturity and a little bit more composure. And we have a decent number of freshmen who we think are going to help us out. It’s just cool to have a majority of our team recruited," Williams said.
A $25,000 donation from TC Energy's Build Strong social impact program will help with construction of a racecourse for Baja-type vehicles participating in an international event to be hosted in May at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The donation will also fund materials and equipment for the college's welding program.
