Four classes have been announced for the Spring 2018 semester by Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Workforce Development & Continuing Education Office. Pennsylvania College of Technology hosted about 130 high school students on Dec. 4 as part of the international “Hour of Code” initiative. Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org, reaching tens of millions of students in more than 180 countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming.

One hundred percent of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s 2017 surgical technology graduates passed the national Certified Surgical Technologist Examination on their first attempt. The group graduated in August and took the exam the same month.

Jennifer R. Wahl, a world history and psychology teacher at Loyalsock Township High School, has been named the Pennsylvania 2018 Teacher of the Year. Wahl, who is also an adjunct faculty member at Pennsylvania College of Technology, teaching psychology and sociology classes, received the honor on Monday during the Department of Education’s annual professional development conference.
