A National Endowment for the Arts grant of $15,000 will support “Material Matters,” a series of exhibitions, artist residencies and workshops focusing on materials from Pennsylvania’s history. The series is developed and presented by The Gallery at Penn College. “We are so fortunate to have the support of the NEA to develop this exciting program,” said Penny Griffin Lutz, gallery director.

Two associate-degree majors within the heavy construction equipment technology program at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been reaccredited by The AED Foundation.

A revised schedule of makerspace drop-in trainings – hourlong introductions to fascinating techniques, with no registration required – has been issued for the remainder of the semester. Pennsylvania College of Technology students joined the National Physician Assistant Week celebration, held Oct. 6-12 to recognize the physician assistant profession and its contributions to the nation’s health. Penn College offers a combined Bachelor/Master of Science in physician assistant studies.

The dedication of six Army ROTC cadets has been recognized with scholarships covering the cost of college tuition. Five cadets from Pennsylvania College of Technology and one from Lycoming College were bestowed Army ROTC scholarships during a recent contracting ceremony at Penn College. In addition to paying for tuition, the scholarships provide a monthly stipend and book allowance.
