“Textiles in Translation,” a collection of fiber-based artwork by 35 Pennsylvania regional members of Studio Art Quilt Associates, will be showcased at The Gallery at Penn College June 1 through July 22. The exhibition can be viewed in person at the gallery, located on the third floor of the Madigan Library at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Summer hours are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After a year’s absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Baja SAE team returned to action with a flourish, posting four top-10 results at Baja SAE Louisville. The recent Society of Automotive Engineers competition – hosted by the University of Louisville – required students to design and build a single-seat, all-terrain sporting vehicle to meet various challenges.

In Chef Frank Suchwala’s Introduction to the Modernist Kitchen course, culinary arts students add science and technology to tried-and-true techniques to create new ways of presenting food.

Despite losing both of its games in its first trip to a NCAA Division III Regional tournament, Pennsylvania College of Technology softball coach Angie Hunley called it “a fantastic learning experience!” Facing regional host and top-seed Virginia Wesleyan in Friday’s first game in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the sixth-seeded Wildcats were held hitless in an 8-0, five-inning loss.

Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation has made an Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program contribution that will cover fees for 15 high schools and career and technology centers that are participating in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s dual enrollment program, Penn College NOW.
