Graphic design students and alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology netted 20 awards in the 2023-24 American Advertising Awards Competition presented by the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Two Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty have co-authored a peer-reviewed article for the World History Bulletin, a publication of the World History Association. Craig A. Miller, professor of history/political science and department head of social sciences and humanities, and Jennifer R. Wahl, instructor of social sciences, have published “History from the ‘Other’ Side: Approaches to Learning and Teaching the Past From Neglected and Marginalized Voices” in the latest issue of the journal.
Several students in Penn College’s human services & restorative justice major provided volunteer support recently to the Union County Giving Closet. The Penn College team pitched in to bag clothing, toys, books and other items donated following the Common Threads Consignment Sale. The items will help the Union County Giving Closet support local families in need.
Exploring the creative journeys and promising career paths of eight graduating seniors in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design major, a reception was held April 26 for the Graphic Design Student Portfolio Exhibition. The exhibit runs through Friday, May 3, in the gallery located on the third floor of The Madigan Library. The remaining day’s hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
