Pennsylvania College of Technology is reaching out to individuals interested in exploring nontraditional careers. Through the College's New Choices/New Options and Women in Technologies Trades programming, two individual workshop series are being offered one during the day and the other in the evening. The first will meet Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 2 through Nov. 25.
A student, administrator and adviser of the physician assistant major at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently were presented awards by the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants for their contributions to the society and the field. Richard Rockwell, a senior physician assistant student from Sayre, received a $500 scholarship.

Dr. William B. Urosevich, associate professor of biology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been named the United States Army Reserve Optometry Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Army. Urosevich has been involved in Army optometry since 1983. He was the co-developer of the first Army optometry residency program at West Point.
A number of Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty and staff recently have been in the news for a variety of accomplishments. James T. Gugino, video engineer/editor, worked as a camera operator with World Sports Enterprises during the recent Pennsylvania 400 and ARCA 200 NASCAR races at Pocono International Raceway. Gugino also provided technical support for in-car cameras.
Larry L. Michael, associate dean for the Technology Transfer Center and Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Ben Franklin Technology Center of Central and Northern Pennsylvania. Michael has been with Penn College's Technology Transfer Center since 1990.

The nationally recognized workshop will run Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18, in Penn College's Fitness Center and nearby classrooms in the Bush Campus Center.
