Pennsylvania College of Technology has announced the appointment of Dennis E. Gilbert as director of the Technology Transfer Center. A Williamsport native, Gilbert is a Penn College alumnus with a degree in computer science. He has more than 14 years of technology-related experience, with the past 10 years in a technology business-management capacity.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Board of Directors has approved a $53.6 million operating budget for 2000-01 that includes an additional state appropriation of $2 million to enhance the College's workforce-development initiatives. The operating budget includes a total state appropriation of $14,672,000 − up $2,306,000 (18.6 percent) from 1999-2000.
