(The following is a message issued to the Penn College community Wednesday, Sept. 12, by Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour, College president) I wish to thank the employees and students for the cooperation and support shown Tuesday during our nation's tragedy. As you are aware, the College remained open throughout the day.

Good, with the potential to get better. That's how Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball coach Mike Stanzione looks at his program. Through nine seasons under Stanzione, the Wildcats have compiled an impressive 189-98 record, including 12 straight playoff appearances and four conference championships during the fall and spring seasons, by being mostly offense-oriented.

Pennsylvania College of Technology golf coach Chet Schuman has two goals in mind for his team: qualify individual players and his team for the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association Championships.

Five students in the Printing and Publishing Technology and Graphic Design bachelor-degree majors at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been chosen to receive scholarships totaling $5,300 from the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation. The Penn College scholarship recipients were among 260 students nationwide who were selected from a pool of 1,500 applicants at 150 accredited schools.

The first in a series of e-commerce training and information sessions for government and business and industry will be hosted on Wednesday, Sept. 26, by the Technology Transfer Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The e-business information session will be offered from 9 a.m.

The Fall 2001 CoffeeHouse Series is under way at Pennsylvania College of Technology, with four more musical performers scheduled through November.
