Adults who are considering a career change can receive free help through the Project Choice program at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The November session will run from Monday, Nov. 8, through Thursday, Nov. 18. The session meeting times are from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday (there are no sessions on Fridays).

Students are reminded of Williamsport's PennPass program, which provides free City Bus transportation along fixed routes and to the Earth Science Center south of main campus upon presentation of a valid student ID. Links to the service also are accessible online.

Pumpkins, princesses, Power Rangers and assorted other costumed cuties briefly paraded on main campus Friday. While the weather played some tricks with the traditional Halloween route, it was all a treat for those fortunate enough to catch a glimpse.

An Air Force C-17 arrived at Williamsport Regional Airport on Thursday, affording Penn College aviation students the opportunity to tour the aircraft and interact with its crew. The newest cargo aircraft in the Air Force's inventory, the C-17 designed for rapid delivery of troops and cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in a military deployment area.

Students fromRichard C. Taylor's ACR 127 (Prints, Drawings and Specifications) class toured the Fairfield Inn construction site Thursday. Prior to walking across Maynard Street from campus, the class viewed blueprints of the building, paying special attention to the foundation, floor plans, utility entrances, HVAC and plumbing plans.

Josh Lodge of Montrose was selected as September's "Resident Assistant of the Month" for his sincere compassion for residents, above-average work and his overall leadership to the Rose Street RA staff. A Construction Management major and active member of the Construction Management Association, Lodge is in his second year at Penn College.

Workforce Development& Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology coordinated introductory computer instruction for 1,443 people in northcentral Pennsylvania and the state's Northern Tier counties recently, providing the curriculum, instructors and instructor training for the "Digital Divide Training" initiative.

The Aviation Club participated in an "FOD" prevention walk Thursday, hoping to avert the "Foreign Object Damage" that can occur when a jet engine ingests items from the runway. The students walked the length of both runways at Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville, and removed anything that could damage an aircraft.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team learned a tough lesson Wednesday night that coach Andy Richardson hopes will pay dividends one more time this season.
