Monday evening's "Make a Match" dating game was a hit, as hosts Mike DiPalma and Rachel Hoover emceed two rounds of "love connection" for a pair of campus "bachelorettes." Wendy Mertzeis was the first, winning a date with first-year student Chris Carroll, and Mindy Corcelious won a date with Jim Riedel. Each couple won a $25 gift certificate for dinner.
Chef Suzann L. Major, a First Year Experience mentor and assistant professor in the School of Hospitality, presented "Valentine's Day Chocolates and Cookies" at Rose Street Apartments on Sunday night. Twenty-eight FYE students attended, makingchocolate-covered strawberries and a chocolate bowl with chocolate mousse and decorating sugar cookies with chocolate.
