The second annual "Catch Me If You Can" Allyson Wilgar-Jones Memorial 5K Walk/Run is scheduled for April 8 on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology. The race is organized by nursing faculty at Penn College in honor of Wilgar-Jones, a colleague who died in 2004 after a brief battle with cancer.

Anticipation and excitement abound for the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team this spring. The Wildcats are coming off a great fall season, during which they went 13-5 overall and 11-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference, and, before they resume their PSUAC schedule in late March, they have nearly a dozen nonleague games scheduled nine of them in Florida.
A fire at 633 W. Fourth St. in Williamsport (Victorian Village) on Sunday morning displaced 14 Penn College students, according to the owner of the facility. None of the students was injured in the blaze. Those students who need it will be offered temporary housing on campus. The college will also help replace books and academic supplies and provide other assistance to the students.
