Two players for the Williamsport Crosscutters, the hometown Class A baseball team, visited campus Thursday morning as part of Penn College's Summer Youth Adventure Camp. Catcher Francis Poni (35) and outfielder Greg Smith (11) signed autographs and served as team captains for a pickup ballgame in the Field House.
When a Williamsport electronics company recently needed communications training for hundreds of employees at its Reach Road location, it didn't have to look far. Help was just a block away at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Workforce Development & Continuing Education office.
Haas Automation Inc., of Oxnard, Calif., recently entrusted two pieces of equipment to Pennsylvania College of Technology, bringing its total to four since 2004. The company has provided the college with two pieces of CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools a TM1 toolroom mill and a TL1 toolroom lathe, along with the accessories to support the equipment for two years.
