The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's new Roger and Peggy Madigan Library, will host "The Iconography of the Goddess," an exhibit of sculpture by David Hostetler, Oct. 3-29. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 3:30 to 7 p.m., with a gallery talk scheduled at 5:30 p.m.

Students now can check their Meal Plan and Wildcat Plus balances online through the Student Information System . This option is located in the Services/Membership box in the lower-right corner of the main SIS page. The View/Manage function allows a student to look at transactions for a selected date range, along with checking current balances for the type of plan(s) he or she has.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Workforce Development & Continuing Education Office, a premier-level Autodesk Authorized Training Center, has met new requirements established by the software company to earn "2007 Ready" designation. Autodesk the creator of such computer-aided drafting software as AutoCAD and Inventor holds its Authorized Training Centers to various standards.

For the second year in a row, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team is under the leadership of a new coach. But, if last year's championship season is any indication, there should be no problem. Enrique Castillo, a native of Peru and former Wildcat player himself, succeeds Jeff Finn at the helm.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has been awarded an $11,500 grant from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to help efforts to prevent underage and high-risk alcohol use among students. Penn College is among 62 organizations throughout the commonwealth to receive a share of more than $664,000 in funding announced Sept. 11 for comprehensive, community-based initiatives.

The bar continues to rise for Pennsylvania College of Technology golfers. Over the past three seasons, the Wildcats have gone 100-0 in regular-season matches. They've won three straight conference championships and have had the individual conference champion, as well, each of those years. And coach Chet Schuman says it will get even better.

"Grandparents Day" was observed in the Children's Learning Center this week, as grandparents and grandchildren joined in artful handiwork, storytime and other fun activities. On Sept. 7, Pennsylvania College of Technology students, staff and invited guests from around the area enjoyed a demonstration that came to campus as the Cisco Network On Wheels, a 25-foot van equipped with an array of Cisco Systems networking technologies.

Two years ago, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team won its first conference championship. Last season, it finished second, but that wasn't good enough. The Lady Wildcats want to win it all again. "My girls decided they are going to take back their championship.
