The Residence Life Office at Pennsylvania College of Technology has announced its latest round of monthly awards, applauding students and programs within the institution's on-campus housing complexes. Chosen as "Resident Assistant of the Month" was Melani B. Grady, a dental hygiene-health policy and administration major from Youngsville and a second-year RA at Campus View Apartments.

The Penn College flag football team rallied from four points down with five seconds left to stun its Lycoming College opponents, 19-17, on Monday night. According to a recap from Jeremy Bottorf, intramural/Fitness Center assistant, scoring began when Craig Flint hooked up with Anthony Flint for a touchdown. Five Pennsylvania College of Technology nursing students were awarded scholarships that enabled them to attend the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Annual Conference in Harrisburg in October. At the conference, held Oct. 11 at the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers, the students learned about the latest in breast cancer research, technology, outreach and awareness.

A memorial service will be Saturday for Mark E. Meister II, 18, of Sunbury, a Penn College student in the automotive technology/Ford ASSET major who died from injuries suffered in a vehicle crash Sunday night in Upper Augusta Township, Northumberland County. A brick will be placed in his honor in the Remembrance Garden, and Penn College flags were lowered to half-staff.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has established a new society The Pillar Society to recognize supporters who have included Penn College or the Penn College Foundation in their long-term giving plans. Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour recently recognized 14 individuals as members of The Pillar Society.
