Dental hygiene students and faculty from Pennsylvania College of Technology teamed with volunteer dental hygienists and dentists to provide free oral screenings, sealants and education for 79 children as part of the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association's statewide "Sealant Saturday" program on Feb. 3.
The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors will consider approving an oil-and-gas lease with East Resources Inc., of Allegany, N.Y. Without a quorum of directors present at Thursday's meeting, the action must be approved in writing, by unanimous consent, by the full board before taking effect, said E. Eugene Yaw, the college's general counsel.

The program to recycle printer and fax cartridges at Penn College has raised more than $2,800 for the general scholarship fund. The future Center for Business and Workforce Development at Penn College is progressing, with opening for its electronics and computer engineering technology classrooms slated in time for the start of Fall 2007 classes. Drywall is being installed, showing doorways and windows to future laboratories and faculty offices, and niches for lockers in hallways.
