Pennsylvania College of Technology's Children's Learning Center is one of the first early childhood programs to earn accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children – the nation's leading organization of early childhood professionals – under the its new, stricter accreditation system.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Student Nurses' Association recently received an award for Outstanding Web Site at the Student Nurses' Association of Pennsylvania's 55th annual convention. Pennsylvania College of Technology was well-represented at Autodesk University 2007, held Nov. 27-30 in Las Vegas. Autodesk University is the world's largest annual gathering of computer aided design and related professionals, with more than 10,000 working professionals, industry experts and Autodesk executives in attendance.

Chocolate "buildings" constructed by students in Penn College's School of Hospitality were auctioned during Friday's annual "House for a Home" event to benefit the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity.

Kyle Klunk, of Hanover, a civil engineering technology major and a freshman point guard on the men's basketball team, has been named Penn College's "Student-Athlete of the Week" for Dec. 1-8. During a game Dec. 1at Penn State Greater Allegheny, Klunk hit a key 3-point basket with 35 seconds remaining to secure the Wildcats' first Penn State University Athletic Conference win of the season.

Sigma Pi fraternity hosted an alcohol-awareness presentation in the Bush Campus Center on Thursday afternoon, featuring Lisa Fogelman, prevention program supervisor for Valley Prevention Services. Inc. The event included information on the legal consequences of DUIs, statistics on drinking in Pennsylvania and nationwide, interaction with "beer goggles," and alternatives to drinking and driving.
