Members of the Residence Hall Association attended a regional Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls "No Frills" conference at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, N.J., from Feb. 8-10. Penn College has been associated with CAACURH since RHA was established 10 years ago.
The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Public Spaces of Europe," an exhibit of digital photography by Gary Mesa-Gaido, from Feb. 19 to March 14. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Athletic teams at Pennsylvania College of Technology − along with other members of the Penn State University Athletic Conference − will join the ranks of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association beginning with the 2008-09 academic year, allowing all to compete for national championships. For the USCAA, the addition of the 10 PSUAC schools will bring its membership total to more than 60.

Dental hygiene students and faculty from Pennsylvania College of Technology teamed with volunteer dental hygienists and dentists to provide free oral screenings, sealants and education for 67 children as part of the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association's statewide "Sealant Saturday" program on Feb. 2.
The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors on Thursday approved an extension (through 2011-12) to the agreement with the Penn College Education Association. It is the fourth extension enacted for the agreement, which was first approved in August 2000. Previous extensions to the work agreement were approved in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Education Association (the organization representing full-time teaching faculty, librarians and counselors at the college) will extend their current employment contract through 2011-12. The extension agreement was approved Thursday by the Penn College Board of Directors.
