More than 400 prospective students and their guests attended Wednesday's first Open House of the summer season, which featured weather as warm as the welcome they received from accommodating faculty and staff. Attendees got an informative "sneak peek" at what awaits Penn College's Tomorrow Makers, including tours of instructional space and various aspects of student life.
With Baby Boomer retirements and pandemic-era voluntary departures only adding to the skills gap in industry, Workforce Development's 2022 Penn College Apprenticeship Summit provided timely food for thought.
Pennsylvania College of Technology held three ceremonies May 13-14 for the nearly 750 students who petitioned to graduate at the end of the Spring 2022 semester – the last of 135 commencement exercises to be held under President Davie Jane Gilmour.

In the final all-college address before her June 30 retirement, Pennsylvania College of Technology President Davie Jane Gilmour found the difficult words to sum up 44 years on campus – the last two-dozen as its leader.

As students get ready for final exams, Dining Services is reliably alongside them – hosting several events, providing specials and treats, to fuel the body while scholars feed their minds. The fun kicked off Wednesday evening with a Beach Party at Capitol Eatery.
Penn College welcomed 59 future Wildcats and their families to Accepted Student Day on Sunday – emphasis on the "sun" – as gorgeous walking-around weather helped guests celebrate "the beginning of something amazing." The day's VIPs checked in at the Field House, then explored campus, made new friends and found an ever-helpful assortment of students and employees.
On the 52nd annual Earth Day, Pennsylvania College of Technology hailed a phenomenon only slightly younger: the Schneebeli Earth Science Center, home to memories, marvels and the makers of a million tomorrows. Observing the milestone golden anniversary of the Allenwood area campus on a beautiful spring afternoon, attendees reveled in "this special place" known as the ESC.
Paul C. Glover, of New Milford, a plastics and polymer engineering technology major, gets "pied" for a good cause. Taking aim at the Hatchet House trailer Wildcat cornhole in the courtyard Nate J. Krushensky, an architecture and sustainable design student from Danville, attempts to maneuver despite artificially (though effectively) induced impairment.
